The Urban League celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2009 - a significant milestone of service to the Greater Cincinnati African American community. The League’s ability to be a relevant resource to thousands of residents over the years has been made possible by the support of corporations, foundations, and individuals like you.
The Urban League is pleased to announce that Legacy gifts are now being accepted for the Joseph A. Hall Endowment Fund For Excellence. Mr. Hall was the Urban League’s first visionary executive director serving from 1949-1973.The Urban League is seeking personal planned gifts with the goal of expanding the endowment to $100,000 in the next five years. Those that are passionate about the work and mission of the Urban League are invited to make a bequest to this fund. Gifts may be cash, life insurance, real estate or stock that will be donated to the League at the time of death - leaving a legacy that will ensure the long term support of the League’s programs and services.
Legacy donors may stipulate how their gift is to be used. Donors making larger gifts may wish to consider opportunities with future project naming rights such as new classrooms, offices or other facility expansions. For information on how you can participate in the Leave a Legacy program, please contact Donna Jones Baker, President/CEO at (513) 487-6507.
