Donna Jones Baker

Donna Jones Baker has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the local Urban League since November 2003. Following restructuring of the regional organization in 2012 with the creation of Miami Valley Urban League, Ms. Baker became President and CEO of the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio.

She has more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience, as well as educational credentials that include a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Murray State University and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Baltimore. Ms. Baker has participated in the Urban League’s African American Leadership Development Program, Leadership Cincinnati, the Greater Baltimore Committee’s Leadership Program, Leadership Maryland, and Harvard University’s Kennedy School Program for Senior Executives.

Ms. Baker serves as a Board member for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and chairs its Women Excel (WE) Executive Advisory Committee. She is a board member of Xavier University. She is a member of the Cincinnati Chapter Links, Incorporated and Delta Sigma Theta, a community service sorority and president of Advocates for Youth Education (AYE).

Ms. Baker’s achievements have been recognized with numerous awards, including YWCA of Greater Cincinnati’s 2006 Woman of Achievement Award, a Human and Civil Rights Award from the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Who’s Who in Black Cincinnati, Living Women History Makers Award from the Baltimore Club of the National Association of Black Professional Women’s Clubs, and Outstanding Alumnus Award from the University of Baltimore.
