JOB SUMMARY

Provide administrative support for the MVUL/CCMEP program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.   Receive and screen incoming calls for the organization

2.   Greet all clients, participants in a friendly, welcoming manner.

3.   Type and copy material, process mail as necessary.

4.   Create and maintain participant and client database.

5.   Input, update and maintain customer information into appropriate database.

6.   Order and maintain inventory of center supplies.

7.   Use personal computer and other office equipment to create mail merge, PowerPoint presentations,   and Excel reports.

8.   Serve as example by displaying appropriate levels of business and professional conduct

9.   Maintain accurate records to report status information on a timely basis.

10. Provide coordination of services

11. Management and coordination of schedules, calendars and appointments

12. Coordination of travel logistics

13. Take action and make referrals when director cannot be immediately consulted; use judgment in determining priorities

14. Well-developed judgment and critical analysis skills as it relates to administrative role

15. Highly ethical and committed to the maintenance of confidentiality

16. Provide office coverage as needed.

17. Perform other agency-related projects and duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

¨        High School Diploma, Associates Degree a plus, and two years of administrative/data entry  experience.

¨        Energetic support of and passion for the department vision, mission, and overall vision and  mission of the Urban League.

¨        Good oral and written communication skills.

¨        Knowledge of Business English including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

¨        Knowledge of Urban League programming.

¨        Skilled in Word, Excel, PowerPoint software applications

¨        Skilled in development of database systems

¨        Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

¨        Ability to interact with internal and external League staff

¨        Good oral and written communication skills.

¨        Dynamic interpersonal skills.

¨        Display high level of professionalism and impeccable integrity and confidentiality.
