YouthWorks^SM

Currently conducted in cooperation with the Kroger Company and the Coca Cola Company, this program teaches young people how to prepare for their first job interview and trains them for success in their first work experience.

Like the Urban League's adult workforce program, SOAR^SM, Urban League trainers focus on appropriate dress and work behavior, employee/supervisor communication, time, and conflict management.

Free trainings are conducted twice per year, three Saturdays per training session. YouthWorks^SM is the League's nationally recognized program to help young adults (16-22) prepare for employment opportunities. Job seekers are taught how to apply in person, online and prepare successful interviewing techniques. Employer expectations, such as performance at work and good customer service, are among the topics covered.
